Thinking about a turbo 99 Eclipse GS?

I've been thinking about slapping a turbo on my 99 Eclipse GS. Is there really any difference in the GS and the GST besides the turbo? Because I've heard that the GST has a lot of components built for the turbo and that putting one on my GS would require some other mods. Is this true and if so what mods would I need?
