WHAT WERE SOME OF JEAN CHRETIENS PROBLEMS HE FACED WHILE IN OFFICE?

What did Jean Chretien (former prime minsiter) of Canada have to deal with while in office...im talking about some of his lowlights/disadvantages. I already have that he was unsuccessful on fulfilling his promise regarding the removal of the GST...anything else??
