Can i swap motors from a GST to an GS Spyder?

I have a 96 spyder. But its a single cam. Ppl tell me i can put the GST motor in it. im not sure if i can. Ive found 3 GST motors one being non turbo. I would like tp start with the non turbo since i dont have the gages for a turbo. Before i look into buying i would like some opinions. thnx
